Historic Villages of Portugal - I

The urban legend says that Monsanto suffered a great encirclement for 7 long years by the Romans and when food was already scarce, in an act of desperation, they threw their last heifer down the cliff to demonstrate to the enemy that they would never overcome them by hunger. Convinced that the inhabitants of this small village were not short of food after all, the invaders abandoned the encirclement, as it would not be possible to make this small village bend. As well as the maintenance of independence, its beauty, and stunning landscapes have also lasted until the present day. More than words, here are the images of the most Portuguese village in Portugal!
